Steamboat Pilates Team Wendy Puckett/Owner/Instructor Wendy is a fully certified instructor through the Physicalmind Institute and has been teaching for 7 years. She is a former NCAA captain for the University of Colorado cross-country/track teams. She passionately credits Pilates for her strength and flexibility needed to excel in her marathons, Mt. Biking, and skiing, as well as for her rebound after having two children. She has been a resource for Runner’s World magazine about the benefits of Pilates and marathon training while preparing for her 3rd Boston Marathon. Her extensive understanding of the body and its mechanics will help you leave her class feeling stronger and re-inspired to go out and achieve your goals. Kristin Stevenson/Owner/Instructor A fully certified instructor through the Physicalmind Institute, she has been teaching for 14 years with a background emphasizing rehabilitation. She is co-owner of The Pilates Training Institute, a comprehensive Pilates certifying center taking people to a deeper level of understanding of the body and its mechanics through Pilates. Her bachelor of Science/Kinesiology degree, former Athletic Trainer at the Univ. of Colorado, injury prevention educator for Italian cycling and dance teams, and six years in a physical therapy clinic brings a well-rounded knowledge to the studio to challenge and assist clients of all levels. As a former competitive ski racer she realizes the importance of a strong core. You will “enjoy” finding muscles you didn’t know you had after her class. Becky Holloran/Instructor A fully certified instructor through the Physicalmind Institute, as well as a certified Yoga instructor. Becky utilizes the concepts of Pilates and Yoga to excel in her recreational activities of soccer, back-country skiing, and mountaineering. She has an eye for body movements and will take you to a deeper level in your core through her knowledge and awareness of how the body moves. With her enthusiasm and motivation, you will leave feeling proud and excited of your body’s new found capabilities. Her passion for the outdoors will have you sprinting for the trails to apply your new strength. Dana Tredway/Instructor A fully certified instructor through the Physicalmind Institute and former competitive gymnast, Dana was so inspired by her own achievements with Pilates, that she dedicated herself to the intense instructor training while still running her CPA firm. She balances her time between her two teenage daughters, and her various recreation activities with the help of her new found energy that Pilates has provided. Dana uses her knowledge and humor to challenge you to dig deeper in your core and uncontrollably smile the whole time you’re doing it.
Christy Borden/ Instructor Christy Borden began practicing Pilates in 1997 at a classical Pilates studio in New York City. She is a fully certified instructor through the Physicalmind Institute. After returning to her hometown of Steamboat to raise her two children, Christy began training with Steamboat Pilates. She finds the combination of her versatile training she received from Steamboat Pilates along with her classical client training from NY, a perfect fit for herself and clients. Christy hopes to help everyone she works with find a strong connection to their core that will help them in their life and activities outside of the studio. She also enjoys working with kids to help them begin their athletic careers with a strong core.
Emily Colin/ Instructor Emily has completed the Physicalmind Instructor Training Program while pursuing her goal of skiing on the U.S. Ski Team.
